Do I have to talk about everything that’s ever happened to me?
Nope. Therapy isn’t emotional karaoke. You don’t have to “perform” your pain or relive every detail for it to count.
We’ll go at your pace — and if something feels too big or not ready to unpack, we’ll respect that. EMDR and parts work both help us approach difficult memories safely and gently. -
Is therapy just talking about feelings?
Not quite. We will talk about feelings (because, you know… human), but we’ll also look at your thoughts, habits, nervous system, and relationships — basically the stuff behind the feelings.
You’ll leave sessions with both insight and practical tools you can actually use in real life. -
How do virtual sessions work?
Easy. You’ll get a secure video link before your session. Find a private spot, grab a coffee, wear your comfiest hoodie — and log in from your couch, car, or wherever you feel most yourself.
Virtual therapy is private, flexible, and just as effective as in-person. Bonus: zero waiting room small talk. -
What if I’ve never done therapy before?
Perfect. You don’t need to know how it works — that’s my job.
You just show up, and we’ll take it from there. I’ll guide you through what to expect, check in about how you’re feeling, and make sure we go at a pace that feels safe and useful. -
Do you take insurance?
Yes — I’m in-network with the following providers:
Ascension (SmartHealth), Oxford (Optum), Oscar (Optum), Quest Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, United Healthcare (Optum), Cigna, Aetna
-
How much does therapy cost?
Each session is 53 minutes and costs $125.
If you’re using insurance, your copay or coinsurance amount will depend on your plan. -
How often do we meet?
Most clients start weekly to build consistency, then shift to biweekly or as-needed check-ins once they’re feeling more grounded. We’ll decide together what makes sense for your goals and schedule.
-
Will you tell me what to do?
Not exactly. I’ll offer perspective, strategies, and questions to help you understand yourself more clearly — but therapy isn’t about being told what to do.
It’s about finding what actually works for you (not what everyone else says you “should” do). -
